To Market, To Market

Photographs by Montclare

I love how film makes something as mundane as grocery shopping look exciting. I've had a busy week of sewing and coffee withdrawals and am hoping next week will bring with it a clear, headache free mind and a smaller list of dresses to finish off.

Last night I caught up with my friend Dette whom I love to the end of the world. We ate mexican, drank wine and took cheesy disposable camera snaps which I will post as soon as I get them developed. It was a warm night in Melbourne and we couldn't help but feel envious as ladies sauntered past in open toe shoes and mini dresses. Stockings, garter belts and petticoats are certainly not conducive to surviving summer in the city. I will be dedicating a post to this lovely lady during the week as her creative genius is too great for words and must be shared!

  2. Nice photos! Which market do you go to? There are some great farmers markets in St Kilda-usually around Veg Out.

    1. Thanks Ruby :) I go to the South Melbourne Market. I always forget to check the dates for the St Kilda market and usually found i've missed it by a week, will have to look into it as it sounds great! xx

  4. I guess that there's one thing to be thankful for about the UK never getting TOO hot...those of us who don't like bare legs never swelter! But like they say, beauty is pain, you can't let a little thing like the weather beat your style statements. :)

    1. Thats very true Perdita! I am truly envious of you northern hemisphere ladies, I love the cold weather and don't do too well in Australian summers at all... It would be a dream to never have to show bare legs x
