I really wanted to share my new bobbed head with you but seeings as its far too dark for picture taking by the time I get home from work it will have to wait until the weekend. I'm pretty lucky to have Oli 'Home Haircutz' Abbott in my life, boy does he know how to bob hair! In the mean time I thought i'd share some older snaps of my favourite cuts over the years.
I've had short hair for near 6 years now, what started as a bowl cut soon developed into a pageboy and before too long was a concave bob. I instantly fell in love with this style and dreamt of one day having an army of children with matching do's.
In a moment of weakness I pledged to grow my hair for one year in 2010, I spent the entire time feeling like a phoney baloney and sighed a great sigh of relief when I felt the scissors against my cheek in 2011. Do you have a hairdo that you makes you feel like you?

I really adore your haircut! I'm not able to have short hair like that as that I have really curly thick hair, I usually like to keep my hair up in a bun of down and messy.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bob! Yep, I've had my head shaved for 19 years (count 'em!!), and dread extensions for around 6. It's a high maintenance haircut, but it really feels like 'me'! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou have the perfect face for a bob, I was showing my sister snaps of you at the weekend convinced I was going to chop mine off. But I feel 'prettier' with longer hair, but I want short hair, I am gemini, what ya gonna do?! xxx
ReplyDeleteI don't feel like myself without my fringe. xx
ReplyDeleteI think your hair suites you perfectly! Very 60s Vidal Sassoon/flapper-esque.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so good on you, so why change it? :)
ReplyDeleteIt really is perfect for you, it suits your face so well! Still can't believe Oli does it for you, he's a genius!
ReplyDeleteI always wanted a blonde version of your hair. Ditto to the first comment. So just learned to love my curly mop!!
ReplyDeleteThe haircut that I have right now makes me feel pretty and sexy. I love my little bob and bangs.
ReplyDeleteI've had my pixie cut for a couple years now and I've love love loved it. However, every autumn like clock work I feel the itch to change my hairstyle. It's how I went red, went blonde, went asymmetrical, and went short. I grew out my hair for my wedding at the commands of my mother and maid of honor and promptly chopped it into a pixie the following fall (weeks after the wedding.) Unfortunately, wanting to change it from a pixie takes an awful long time. The other grow outs I tried ended with frustrated scissors in the bathroom and a new pixie. I've seen many beautiful bobs (yours included) recently and now I really want to try again!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, you're very pretty. I've tried everything, nothing feels like me.

I am going through exactly what you are describing. I am trying to grow my hair long. I have had the same haircut for four years, which is a bob identical to yours. I think the Louise Brooks style bob is my favorite haircut in the world. I really feel like myself in it. When I see it on other girls or in magazines I swoon. It is sleek and always looks put together.
