This past year so many people have told me how hard it is to find work in America, how the country is in a recession and one kind man even exclaimed "If all else fails you could probably get a job at McDonalds as they are always hiring but no one wants to work there"... Rest assured I was pretty nervous about the prospect of the job hunt. Visions of burger flippin' and unemployment plagued my thoughts.
Well my friends, i'm excited to say that this week I found the job of my dreams sewing costumes for the Nutcracker. My days are spent in a handsome Garment District studio nestled between hot dog vendors and more fabric stores than you can poke a stick at, I feel right at home. I'm pretty damn chuffed, getting to do what I love five days a week seems almost too good to be true.
Wow, that is absolutely wonderful, well done Katie!
