Misty Mountain Hop

I feel as though I've lived a million lives since I wrote my last post, I guess I kinda have. After nearly 18 hours of flying and a crazed 30 hour drive across the outback in the heat of Australian summer, dodging Kangaroos and ginormous swooping eagles, we have arrived in Sydney. Our days have been spent catching up with loved ones, gorging ourselves on all the amazing food we've been craving for the past year and perhaps the most exhaustive task of all, house hunting.

For as long as I can recall, Oli and I have dreamt of relinquishing our city lives and heading for the hills. One night whilst cooped up in our tiny windowless Brooklyn room we resolved to throw caution to the wind and make the move once we returned to Australia. Although neither of us had visited Katoomba before, in our minds it was the mountainous promised land we'd be looking for, how right we were!

These photographs were taken yesterday afternoon in between house inspections, a stones throw away from our *fingers crossed* new home. If all goes according to plan we will be nestled in the mountains surrounded by waterfalls, rainforest and stunning gorges in no time at all.
