The Gold Hatted Lovers

Hello old friends! I know things have been pretty tumble-weedy round here for the past 6 months or so but for good reason I promise..

Introducing the first collection for our new handmade and vintage clothing label The Gold Hatted Lovers.  Inspired by 1930s leisurewear, this collection is a combination of recreated vintage pieces that we've loved to death, outfits we've oogled in old photographs and catalogues but never been able to find and 1930s summer staples. Australian Summer is HOT so we've gone to town on the natural fibres with silks, linens and cottons stealing the show. Perfect for lazy, lounging, coopers long neck in hand beach days or afternoon cocktail soirees.

In the era of mass manufacture and offshore production our range is ethically produced by Tim and myself in our studio in Sydney. Wherever possible we support local Australian businesses and creative collaborators. The fabric for our day dress and blouse was printed locally and designed by Sydney based Jessica Lee Parker, featuring an Art Deco motif of the Sydney Opera House on a delicate Crepe De Chine. These pieces have already been on high rotation in my wardrobe. I'm such a fan of Jess's work and can't wait for to collaborate with her in future collections.

A huge thank you for everyone that has helped bring this creative baby to life, I'm overwhelmed by the support and love we've been shown since our launch in late December and cannot wait to see what the year has in store for the Gold Hatted Lovers!

The collection is available now on our website as well as a handsome selection of 1900s-1960s vintage for guys and gals with a huge update coming in the next fortnight. Follow us on instagram for sneak peaks, giveaways and updates.
